Evelyn Wise

Evelyn Wise owned and operated Wise Products which manufactured caskets and burial vaults (and is still in operation). She was President and Chairman of the Board of the Hall-Voyer Foundation, which operates the Honey Grove Library; President of the Honey Grove Chamber of Commerce and the first women elected to the Honey Grove City Council and then mayor. She was an elder & treasurer of the Main Street Presbyterian Church; a volunteer for the Honey Grove SNAP Center delivering Meals-on-Wheels; had been treasurer and board member of the Honey Grove Kiwanis Club; vice president and board member of the Honey Grove Industrial Foundation and was the first woman elected to the Board of Trustees of the Honey Grove Independent School District.
